DPD Belgium & Luxembourg API

Ta treść nie jest jeszcze dostępna w Twoim języku.

Globe Pickup Points integrates with DPD Belgium & Luxembourg (DPD Belux) through DPD’s Shipper Webservice. With this integration, you can:

  • Export orders to DPD directly from Shopify
  • Print shipping labels within Shopify, in A6 or as A6 labels on A4
  • Ship to addresses in Belgium and Luxembourg by DPD Business (B2B) or DPD Home with Predict
  • Ship to DPD Pickup parcel shops in Belgium and Luxembourg
  • Track parcels on DPD’s tracking page

There is no cash on delivery. See Cash on delivery (COD).

For DPD accounts in other countries, see DPD API and DPD Polska.

Enabling DPD Belgium & Luxembourg API integration

Section titled “Enabling DPD Belgium & Luxembourg API integration”

You need a DPD Belgium contract and a Delis ID with a password for the Shipper Webservice. DPD’s Customer IT (it.cs@dpd.be) issues them and sets up the shipment service for your Delis ID. DPD validates every integration on its stage system before it opens the live system to it; Globe’s integration was validated in October 2026.

  1. In your Shopify admin, open Globe Pickup Points and navigate to Shipping labels. Click Add carrier, choose DPD and select Belgium.
  2. Enter your Delis ID (6 to 10 characters) and Password.
  3. Select the Environment: Production creates real shipments on DPD’s live system. Development uses DPD’s stage system for tests: its labels say DEMO and cannot be shipped. Stage and live have different Delis IDs and passwords.
  4. Fill in the sender address: Sender name, Sender street, Sender ZIP and Sender city. Street and city take up to 35 characters each. Sender contact person, Sender phone and Sender email are optional.
  5. Optionally, click Show advanced settings:
    • Sender country: BE (default) or LU, the country you ship from.
    • Sending depot: the four-digit DPD depot, for example 0530. Leave it empty to use the depot DPD names at login.
    • Default weight (kg): used when an order has no weight.
  6. Configure fulfillment and tagging options as needed:
    • Automatically fulfill orders: Never, Yes, send order shipped email with the tracking number or Yes, do not send order shipped email. When enabled, the order is fulfilled after export with the DPD parcel number, DPD as the carrier and a link to DPD’s tracking page.
    • Automatically tag orders with tracking number adds the parcel number as an order tag.
    • Custom tag after export adds your own tag after every successful export.
  7. Map your Shopify shipping methods for Belgium and Luxembourg to a DPD product. The mapping is optional. You can change the product for each order when you create the label.

Product in GlobeDelivery
DPD (Pickup point if selected, otherwise DPD Home)To the DPD Pickup point the customer picked in checkout, otherwise by DPD Home to the address. Also used when no product is set.
DPD Business (address, B2B)To the address, for business recipients. DPD sends the customer no notification.
DPD Home with Predict (address, B2C)To the address, for private recipients. DPD tells the customer when the parcel comes (Predict).
DPD Pickup (parcel shop)To the DPD Pickup point on the order. An order without one is refused.

Every product ships from Belgium or Luxembourg to Belgium or Luxembourg. An order to another country is not exported.

DPD enables products per account. If your contract does not include a product, DPD refuses the shipment: ask DPD to enable it, or choose another product.

DPD Home and DPD Pickup tell the customer about the parcel by e-mail, or by SMS when the order has a mobile number and no e-mail address. An order with neither is not exported: add an e-mail address or a mobile number, or use DPD Business.

The messages go in Dutch to Flemish postcodes (1500 to 3999 and 8000 to 9999) and in French to the rest of Belgium and to Luxembourg.

You can export orders to DPD and print shipping labels directly from Shopify, either in bulk or individually. For the label workflow itself, see Creating shipping labels.

Exporting an order creates one DPD shipment with one parcel. DPD returns the label with the shipment and assigns the 14-digit parcel number, which is the tracking number. Parcels are tracked at https://www.dpdgroup.com/be/mydpd/my-parcels/search?lang=<en, fr or nl>&parcelNumber=<parcel number>. The Shopify order number is sent as the shipment and parcel reference.

The parcel weight comes from the order. If the order has no weight, the Default weight (kg) is used. If neither is set, the order is not exported. DPD takes parcels up to 31.5 kg.

DPD allows one shipment call at a time per account and 30 a minute, so Globe sends the orders of a batch one after another, about two seconds apart.

If Globe cannot tell whether DPD created a shipment, for example because DPD did not answer in time, the error asks you to check MyDPD Business, DPD’s shipper portal, before you create the label again. Globe then stops before the next order of the batch. The orders it did not send can be exported again safely.

Globe does not cancel DPD shipments. Creating the label for the same order again creates a second shipment.

The integration does not sync delivery statuses back to Shopify.

Globe sends the DPD Pickup point ID, for example BE10011, to DPD. The customer selects the point at checkout; to offer DPD points, see Adding pickup point carriers. The point must be in Belgium or Luxembourg. A Belgian address with a point in Luxembourg works, and the other way round. DPD prints the point’s address and the customer’s name on the label.

An order with a point from another carrier’s network, or with a DPD point outside Belgium and Luxembourg, is not exported. It is never shipped to the customer’s address instead. Choose a DPD Pickup point with the Modify pickup point action, or use DPD Home with Predict (address, B2C).

DPD refuses a point that does not take parcels at the moment, for example because it is closed, on holiday, full or no longer in DPD’s network. Choose another point, or use DPD Home.

DPD Belgium & Luxembourg has no cash on delivery: DPD discontinued it in 2019. An order with a COD amount is not exported. Set the COD amount in the label panel to 0 if the order is already paid, or ship the order with another carrier.

DPD Belgium & Luxembourg labels can be printed in the following formats:

FormatLabels
A6One label per page
A6 on A4Four labels per A4 sheet

When printing A6 labels on A4, you can select the starting position on the sheet (positions 1–4) to reuse partially used sheets.

Labels for several orders are combined into one PDF. DPD hands out a label only when the shipment is created, so Globe stores it and prints from that copy; you can print a label again at any time. If Globe has no stored label for a shipment, it prints the others and names the missing shipments. Print those in MyDPD Business.
