Bring API

Dieser Inhalt ist noch nicht in deiner Sprache verfügbar.

Globe Pickup Points integrates with Bring through the Mybring Booking API. With this integration, you can:

  • Export orders to Bring directly from Shopify
  • Print shipping labels within Shopify, as Bring sends them for label printers or on A4
  • Ship to Bring pickup points and parcel lockers in Norway, Sweden and Denmark
  • Ship to addresses by home delivery or business parcel, and by home mailbox parcel within Norway
  • Ship from Norway within Norway, and from Sweden or Denmark to Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland
  • Track parcels on Bring’s tracking pages

There is no cash on delivery. See Cash on delivery (COD).

You need your own Bring customer number in Mybring, a Mybring user with booking rights for that customer number, and an API key for that user. Create the API key in Mybring under Settings, API.

  1. In your Shopify admin, open Globe Pickup Points and navigate to Shipping labels. Click Add carrier and select Bring.
  2. Enter your Mybring login (API user ID): the e-mail address you log in to Mybring with.
  3. Enter the API key. It belongs to the Mybring user from the previous step.
  4. Enter your Customer number for API bookings, as Mybring shows it under Settings, API. For parcels within Norway, use your main customer number. Bring books and invoices every parcel under it.
  5. Leave the Booking mode on Test bookings (for Bring’s approval). Bring approves your test labels before you switch to Live bookings. See Booking mode.
  6. Select the Sender country: Denmark (DK), Norway (NO) or Sweden (SE). See Routes.
  7. Fill in the sender address: Sender company name, Sender street, Sender ZIP, Sender city and Sender phone. The company name is printed on every label as the sender. Bring requires the phone: use the country code, for example +4791234567. Sender ZIP has 4 digits in Norway and Denmark and 5 in Sweden. Sender name and Sender email are optional.
  8. Set the Default length in centimeters, Default width in centimeters and Default height in centimeters. Bring needs the size of every parcel. Globe sends these dimensions with each one, rounded to whole centimetres.
  9. Select the Label size: Standard (10.2 x 19.2 cm) or A6 (10 x 15 cm). Choose A6 only if Bring has enabled A6 labels for your customer number.
  10. Optionally, click Show advanced settings and set the Default weight (kg). It is used when an order has no weight.
  11. Configure fulfillment and tagging options as needed. They apply to live bookings only:
    • Automatically fulfill orders: Never, Yes, send order shipped email with the tracking number or Yes, do not send order shipped email. When enabled, the order is fulfilled after export with the Bring consignment number, Bring as the carrier and the tracking link Bring returns.
    • Automatically tag orders with tracking number adds the consignment number as an order tag.
    • Custom tag after export adds your own tag after every successful export.
  12. Map your Shopify shipping methods to a Bring product. The mapping is optional. You can change the product for each order when you create the label.

Bring checks test bookings with your own customer number before you create live labels. The Booking mode starts on Test bookings (for Bring’s approval).

  • Bring answers a test booking like a real one, with a consignment number, a tracking link and a label.
  • Test bookings are not sent or invoiced. Their labels say TEST LABEL.
  • Globe does not fulfil or tag orders for test bookings.
  • In the label panel, a test booking shows (test booking, not for shipping) after the service name.

To go live:

  1. With Test bookings (for Bring’s approval), create labels for a few orders with each Bring product you will use: pickup point, home, business parcel, mailbox parcel.
  2. Send Bring the PDF labels and the consignment numbers, and ask Bring to approve them. The label panel and the batch print page show both.
  3. Once Bring confirms, switch the Booking mode to Live bookings.

The Sender country decides where Globe books Bring parcels:

Sender countryDestinationsPickup point chosen in checkout
NorwayNorwayWithin Norway
Sweden or DenmarkSweden, Denmark, Norway and FinlandWithin and between Sweden and Denmark

Bring needs a customs declaration for parcels leaving Norway, which Globe does not send. An order from Norway to another country is not exported. Book it in Mybring.

From Sweden or Denmark, Bring does not deliver to a chosen pickup point in Norway or Finland. Use Bring home delivery or business parcel for those orders.

An order to any other country is not exported.

Bring Home mailbox parcel (Norway only, up to 5 kg)To the address, within Norway only.

Globe books a different Bring service depending on the sender country:

ProductFrom NorwayFrom Sweden or Denmark
Pickup pointPickup parcel (5800), up to 35 kgPickUp Parcel (0340), up to 20 kg
Home deliveryParcel home plus (5600), up to 35 kgHome Delivery Parcel (0349), up to 35 kg
BusinessBusiness parcel (5000), up to 35 kgBusiness Parcel (0330), up to 35 kg
MailboxHome mailbox parcel (3584), up to 5 kgNot available

Bring enables services per customer number. If your agreement does not include a service, Bring refuses the booking: ask Bring to add it, or choose another product.

A parcel to a pickup point, home or a mailbox needs the customer’s phone number or e-mail address, so Bring can tell the customer about it. A parcel locker opens with a code Bring sends by SMS, so it needs a phone number. A business parcel needs neither. A national phone number works: Globe adds the country’s calling code.

You can export orders to Bring and print shipping labels directly from Shopify, either in bulk or individually. For the label workflow itself, see Creating shipping labels.

Before the first booking of an export, Globe checks the Mybring login, API key and customer number with Bring once. If Bring refuses them, no order is booked.

Exporting an order books one Bring consignment with one package. Bring assigns the consignment number, which is the tracking number. Fulfillment uses the tracking link Bring returns with the booking, which depends on the country. Without one, Globe links https://tracking.bring.com/tracking/<consignment number>. The Shopify order number is sent as the sender’s reference.

The parcel weight comes from the order. If the order has no weight, the Default weight (kg) is used. If neither is set, the order is not exported. Globe checks the weight against the service’s limit before the booking. See Products.

Bring takes up to 35 characters per name, address line and city. Globe shortens a longer name or city. A longer street is split at a space into the second address line when that line is empty; otherwise the order is not exported.

If Globe cannot tell whether Bring booked a parcel, for example because Bring did not answer in time, the error asks you to check Mybring (order history) before you create the label again. Globe then stops before the next order of the batch. The orders it did not send can be exported again safely.

Bookings cannot be cancelled through the API. Bring invoices only parcels it scans, so a label that never goes on a parcel is not invoiced. Creating the label for the same order again books a second consignment: put only one of the labels on the parcel.

The integration does not sync delivery statuses back to Shopify.

Globe sends the Bring pickup point ID from Bring’s Pickup Point API, for example 128275, with the point’s country. The customer selects the point at checkout; to offer Bring points, see Adding pickup point carriers.

Parcel lockers come in the same list: Pakkeboks in Norway, Paketbox in Sweden and lockers in Denmark. Globe books them as Pickup parcel or PickUp Parcel, like any other point. Bring’s Finnish points cannot be chosen for a booking.

The point must be in the customer’s country. For the countries where Bring delivers to a chosen point, see Routes.

An order with a point from another carrier’s network, a Bring point without a usable ID, or a Bring point Bring cannot deliver to from your sender country is not exported. It is never shipped to the customer’s address instead. Choose a Bring pickup point with the Modify pickup point action, or use Bring home delivery (Parcel home plus / Home Delivery Parcel).

Bring refuses a point it does not know, for example one that has closed. Choose another point.

Globe does not book cash on delivery with Bring. An order with a COD amount is not exported, because a label without COD would hand the parcel over unpaid. Set the COD amount in the label panel to 0 if the order is already paid, or ship the order with another carrier.

Bring labels can be printed in the following formats:

FormatLabels
Label printer, as Bring sends it (10.2x19.2 cm, or 10x15 cm with A6 labels)One label per page, at Bring’s size: 10.2 × 19.2 cm, 10.6 × 10.9 cm for the home mailbox parcel, 10 × 15 cm with A6 labels
A4, two labels per pageLabels at full size on A4 sheets in two columns: two standard labels side by side, home mailbox parcel labels two to a column

Labels for several orders are combined into one PDF. Globe stores the label link Bring returns with each booking and downloads the label from Bring each time you print, so you can print a label again later. If a label cannot be downloaded, Globe prints the others and names the missing consignments. Print those in Mybring.
