FAN Courier API

Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.

Globe Pickup Points integrates with FAN Courier, a Romanian courier with FANbox parcel lockers, PayPoints and FAN offices. With this integration, you can:

  • Export orders to FAN Courier directly from Shopify
  • Print shipping labels within Shopify
  • Ship within Romania to the customer’s address, a FANbox, a PayPoint or a FAN office
  • Collect cash on delivery in RON
  • Track parcels on the FAN Courier tracking page

  1. In your Shopify admin, open Globe Pickup Points and navigate to Shipping labels. Click Add carrier and select FAN Courier.
  2. Enter your selfAWB username and selfAWB password — the username and password you use to log in to selfAWB. FAN Courier gives API access to customers with a signed contract. If you have a contract but no selfAWB login, write to selfawb@fancourier.ro.
  3. Enter the Client ID (branch) of the FAN Courier branch you ship from, shown in selfAWB. The branch address is the sender on every label. If your account has only one branch, leave the field blank and Globe uses that branch.
  4. Turn on ePOD (10.5x14.8 cm labels) only if ePOD is active on your FAN Courier contract. With ePOD, FAN Courier prints a 10.5×14.8 cm label for thermal printers and confirms delivery by email instead of on paper. Without ePOD, the label is the A5 AWB form.
  5. Configure fulfillment and tagging options as needed:
    • Automatically fulfill orders — fulfills the order in Shopify with the AWB number and the tracking link, with or without the order shipped email.
    • Automatically tag orders with tracking number — adds the AWB number as an order tag.
    • Custom tag after export and Custom tag after print — add your tag after each successful export or print.
  6. Choose the Default print option (see Label printing).
  7. Click Show advanced settings to set:
    • Parcel dimensions (cm) — length x width x height, for example 30x20x10. FAN Courier requires dimensions on every AWB, and Globe sends these for all parcels from this account. If left blank, 30x20x10 is sent.
    • Default weight (kg) — the default shipment weight in kilograms. If left blank, it is ignored.
  8. Map your Shopify shipping methods to FAN Courier service types (see Service types). The mapping is optional, and you can change the service type when you create a label.

You can export orders to FAN Courier and print shipping labels directly from Shopify, either in bulk or individually. For the label workflow itself, see Creating shipping labels.

Globe creates one AWB with one parcel for each exported order. FAN Courier labels in Globe cover deliveries within Romania only. The AWB number is the tracking number, and parcels are tracked at https://www.fancourier.ro/awb-tracking/?tracking=<AWB number>.

Each AWB is built from the order and your settings:

  • Sender — your FAN Courier branch. Shipping is paid by the sender.
  • Weight — required. Set product weights in Shopify, enter the weight in Shipment weight (kg) in the label creation panel, or set Default weight (kg). FAN Courier keeps whole kilograms, so Globe rounds the weight to the nearest kilogram, with a minimum of 1 kg.
  • Dimensions — Parcel dimensions (cm) from the carrier settings, with each side rounded up to a whole centimetre.
  • Phone — required. Romanian numbers are sent in the national form, for example 0723456789.
  • Address — for address delivery, the shipping address needs a street and a Romanian county. A six-digit postcode is sent when the address has one.
  • Order number — printed on the label and sent as the AWB’s cost centre, which FAN Courier lists in the shipping slip report.

Globe does not repeat an AWB request that timed out, because FAN Courier may already have created the AWB. See Troubleshooting for what to do then.

Select the service type in the Type field when you create a label, or map it to your shipping methods:

Service typeDelivers to
FAN Courier (pickup point if selected, otherwise address)The FAN Courier point the customer chose at checkout. An order without a pickup point goes to the customer’s address.
FAN Courier Standard (address)The customer’s address, even when the order has a pickup point.
FAN Courier pickup point (FANbox, PayPoint or FAN office)The FAN Courier point on the order. An order without one is refused.

With the first and the third service type, an order whose pickup point belongs to another network is refused, never shipped to the customer’s address instead. To ship it to the address, choose FAN Courier Standard (address). When an order with a pickup point is set to FAN Courier Standard (address), the label creation panel shows a warning before you export it.

Globe picks the FAN Courier service from the destination and from whether the order is cash on delivery:

  • Globe checks the weight and the Parcel dimensions (cm) against these limits before it creates the AWB. Each side is rounded up to a whole centimetre, and the parcel may be turned any way to fit. Globe checks no weight or size limit for FAN offices.
  • The AWB carries the point’s ID with the county and locality FAN Courier lists for the point, which Globe looks up when you create the label. The customer’s street address is not sent.
  • A FANbox delivery needs the customer’s Romanian mobile number (07xxxxxxxx) and email for the pickup code.

FAN Courier collects cash on delivery in RON only, up to 10,000 RON per order. Globe refuses other COD orders before an AWB is created.

When the order was placed with a cash on delivery payment method, Globe fills in the COD amount from the order. You can change it in COD amount in the label creation panel.

COD orders use the Cont Colector variant of the service (see Service types), which pays the collected money into the bank account of the FAN Courier branch you ship from.

FANboxThe customer pays by card at the locker. Card payment (mPOS) must be active on your FAN Courier contract, otherwise FAN Courier refuses the AWB.
PayPointRefused when the PayPoint takes no payments. Globe checks this before it creates the AWB.

FAN Courier labels can be printed in the following formats. Set the one used by default with Default print option.

Print optionWhat prints
10.5x14.8 cm (ePOD, else A5)ePOD AWBs as a 10.5×14.8 cm label, other AWBs as the A5 AWB form
A5The A5 AWB form
A4The A5 AWB form on an A4 page

Each print option has one print position per sheet, so there is no starting position to choose. An AWB is ePOD when it was created with ePOD (10.5x14.8 cm labels) turned on. When your selection mixes ePOD and other AWBs, Globe prints them in one PDF, with pages of the same size together.

Globe downloads the labels from FAN Courier each time you print. If FAN Courier does not return some of them, Globe prints the rest and lists the missing AWBs. Orders whose label is missing are not counted as printed and do not get the Custom tag after print.
