Checkout Shipping (CCS)

Show pickup points as selectable shipping rates directly inside the Shopify checkout — no extra steps, no map popup. With Carrier Calculated Shipping (CCS), each nearby pickup point appears as its own shipping option, sorted by distance, so customers can pick the one closest to them in a single click.

How it works

  1. A customer enters their shipping address in the Shopify checkout.
  2. Shopify sends that address to Globe in real time.
  3. Globe geocodes the address, finds the nearest pickup points in the database, and returns them as individual shipping rates — one rate per pickup point.
  4. Each rate shows the carrier name, point name, distance, and your configured price.
  5. The customer selects one, the order is placed, and the pickup point is automatically saved to the order.

Pickup points are sorted from nearest to furthest. Only carriers that have CCS enabled and a price tier configured in Globe will appear.

Setup

Step 1 — Enable CCS in Globe

  1. In the Globe app, go to Settings → Checkout Shipping (CCS).
  2. Toggle Enable Carrier Calculated Shipping on.
  3. Set the Maximum number of pickup points to show per checkout (we recommend 5–10 to keep the list manageable).
  4. Click Save.

The carrier rate is added to your Shopify shipping zones automatically — no manual configuration in Shopify is needed.

Step 2 — Configure pricing for each carrier

CCS does not use your Shopify flat shipping rates for pricing — you set the price directly in Globe, per carrier.

  1. Go to Pickup Points in Globe.
  2. Open the carrier you want to enable for CCS (e.g. Zásilkovna).
  3. Scroll to the Checkout Shipping (CCS) section.
  4. Toggle Enable for Carrier Calculated Shipping on.
  5. Choose the Pricing basis — either cart total value or cart total weight.
  6. Add one or more price tiers:
    • Set a From value (minimum cart total or weight).
    • Set a To value (maximum). Leave empty for no upper limit (∞).
    • Set the Rate price — this is the amount customers pay for pickup at any point from this carrier.
  7. Click Save.

Repeat for each carrier you want to show at checkout.

What customers see

In the Shopify checkout, each nearby pickup point appears as a separate shipping option:

📦 0.4 km • Zásilkovna • Pardubice, Devotyho 1625 (papírnictví Jana Palacha)
📦 0.8 km • Zásilkovna • Pardubice, Lexova 2253
📦 1.2 km • Balíkovna • Pardubice 19

Points are sorted from nearest to furthest. The carrier name, point name, and distance are shown in the rate title. The street address appears in the rate description below.

Limitations

  • Not all carriers support CCS. Some carriers are not compatible with Carrier Calculated Shipping due to technical constraints. Incompatible carriers are clearly marked inside the Globe app.
  • Shopify Plus stores should use the Checkout App Block instead. CCS is disabled for Plus stores in Globe — the App Block provides a better experience with a full interactive map.
  • Shopify Basic and Starter plans cannot use CCS — this is a Shopify platform limitation, not a Globe limitation.
  • Each carrier must have at least one price tier configured before its points appear. If no tier matches the cart value or weight, no rates are returned for that carrier.

Requesting CCS for your plan

If your store is on the Shopify (Grow) plan, Carrier Calculated Shipping is not enabled by default. You need to contact Shopify Support and ask them to enable it. Use the template below:

Subject: Enable Carrier Calculated Shipping on my plan

Hi, I’d like to have Carrier Calculated Shipping (CCS) enabled for my store. My store URL is [your-store.myshopify.com] and I’m on the Shopify (Grow) plan.

Once Shopify confirms it’s enabled, you can proceed with the setup in Globe.

Troubleshooting

No pickup points appear at checkout

  • Check that CCS is enabled in Settings → Checkout Shipping (CCS).
  • Check that the carrier you want to show has CCS enabled and at least one price tier in its carrier settings.
  • Verify that your Shopify plan supports CCS (see the availability table).

Some carriers don’t appear

Not all carriers are compatible with CCS. Carriers that are not supported will appear in Globe’s carrier settings with a note explaining this.

Rates appear but the price is wrong

Check the price tiers in the carrier’s settings. Make sure the cart total or weight of the test order falls within one of your configured tiers. Leave the To field empty for the last tier to catch all values above the minimum.
