Slovenská pošta API

Globe Pickup Points integrates with Slovenská pošta, the Slovak postal operator, through its WebEPH API, enabling order export and shipping label printing directly from Shopify. With this integration, you can:

  • Export orders to your Slovenská pošta (Moje zásielky) account
  • Print shipping labels within Shopify in A6 or A4 format
  • Ship to post offices, BalíkoBOX parcel lockers or to the customer’s address
  • Support cash on delivery paid to your IBAN

The integration is offered for Slovakia and the sender address is always a Slovak address.

Enabling Slovenská pošta API integration

Section titled “Enabling Slovenská pošta API integration”
  1. In your Shopify admin, open Globe Pickup Points and navigate to Shipping labels. Add a new carrier and select Slovenská pošta.
  2. Enter your User ID and API key — these are the WebEPH API credentials from your Slovenská pošta account. The WebEPH API must be activated for the account before it will authenticate.
  3. Fill in the sender block: Sender name, Sender street, Sender city and Sender ZIP are required. Sender organization, Sender phone and Sender email are optional.
  4. Choose the Reception methodSubmit at post office or Submit to courier — depending on how you hand the parcels over.
  5. Choose the Payment type for postage: Postage credit, Payment machine, Postage stamps, Paid by transfer, Paid in cash, Postal service item, Invoice or Online.
  6. Tick Contract if you have a contract with Slovenská pošta.
  7. If you ship cash on delivery, fill in the COD IBAN.
  8. Optionally configure Shipment insurance, Default insurance value, Default weight (kg), Automatically fulfill orders, Automatically tag orders with tracking number and Custom tag after export.
  9. Map your Shopify shipping methods to the Slovenská pošta products you have agreed with the carrier.

You can export orders to Slovenská pošta and print shipping labels directly from Shopify, either in bulk or individually — see Creating shipping labels.

Each export creates one hárok (submission sheet) per product type: orders are grouped by the selected product, a hárok is opened for each group, the parcels are added to it, and the hárok is then registered automatically. If registration fails, the parcels are still created and the hárok can be registered later in Moje zásielky.

Order weight is converted from grams to kilograms, with a minimum of 0.1 kg. If your orders have no weight, set a Default weight (kg) in the carrier settings.

Each parcel receives a Slovenská pošta parcel number (for example EB534780848SK). If Automatically fulfill orders is enabled, the order is fulfilled with this number and a link to the Slovenská pošta tracking page.

Slovenská pošta has a WebEPH test system, but it is switched on at the server level rather than per carrier account — production stores always talk to the live Moje zásielky API, and there is no sandbox toggle in the carrier settings.

Select the product that matches your agreement with Slovenská pošta. All orders exported with the same product go on the same hárok.

The delivery type follows the customer’s shipping method:

  • Pickup point — when the customer selects a Slovenská pošta pickup point (a post office or a BalíkoBOX locker) at checkout, the recipient address on the parcel is replaced with the address of the pickup point, and the parcel is submitted with the pickup service. The point name is appended to the city so it is visible on the label.
  • Home delivery — the parcel is addressed to the customer’s shipping address. A second address line is appended to the street.

Recipient name, street, city and ZIP are mandatory. Orders missing any of them are rejected during export.

If Slovenská pošta assigned you your own range of parcel numbers, fill in the advanced fields Parcel number range – from and Parcel number range – to (for example EB534780848SK). Globe then assigns numbers from that range and stores the following one in Next parcel number after each export, which you can also correct manually.

Numbers use the format PPNNNNNNNN[C]SS — a two-letter prefix, eight digits, an optional check digit and a two-letter suffix. Globe computes the check digit for you. When the range runs out, exports fail until you enter a new range. Leave these fields empty to let Slovenská pošta assign the numbers.

COD is supported. The COD amount is taken from the order’s outstanding amount in the order currency and is sent as a bank deposit to the COD IBAN configured on the carrier account, with the variable symbol derived from the digits of the order number. Without a valid IBAN, the API rejects the parcel.

Insurance is added when the order value is greater than zero and either the product is Poistený list or Shipment insurance is enabled in the carrier settings. The insured amount is the order value in the order currency, or the Default insurance value if you set one.

Delivery-status sync is not available for Slovenská pošta — parcel statuses are not written back to Shopify, and COD payments are not marked as paid automatically. The parcel number and the link to the Slovenská pošta tracking page are still attached to the fulfillment. Return labels and cancelling an already exported parcel from Globe are not supported either; cancel parcels in Moje zásielky.

Slovenská pošta labels are returned as PDF and can be printed in the following formats:

FormatLabels per sheetStart position
A61 (one label per page)
A44 (2×2 grid)1–4

When printing A4 sheets, choose the starting position to reuse partially used label sheets. The format used by default can be set with Default print option in the carrier settings.

IssueResolution
Authentication failedCheck the User ID and API key, and make sure the WebEPH API is activated in your Slovenská pošta account.
Missing required sender fieldsSender name, Sender street, Sender city and Sender ZIP must all be filled in.
Missing recipient name, address, city or ZIPThe Shopify shipping address is incomplete. For pickup-point orders, check that the customer actually selected a point at checkout.
Invalid parcel number formatUse the format PPNNNNNNNN[C]SS, for example EB534780848SK, in the parcel number range fields.
Parcel number range exhaustedAll assigned numbers have been used. Request a new range from Slovenská pošta and update Parcel number range – from/to and Next parcel number.
Validation error on exportThe API rejected a value on the parcel — most often a missing COD IBAN, or an insurance or COD amount that the product does not allow.
No parcel IDs found in ordersThe order was not exported successfully, so there is nothing to print. Export it again before printing.
Label type unavailableThe label is not ready for that parcel yet. Wait a moment and print again.
Could not connect to SK Posta APIThe WebEPH API is temporarily unreachable. Retry the export or print later.
