Sendcloud

Use Sendcloud as a pickup point carrier when your labels are created in Sendcloud, by you or by your fulfillment partner. Customers pick a service point of the carriers enabled in your Sendcloud account (Mondial Relay, Colissimo, GLS, InPost and others), and the order carries Sendcloud’s own service point ID.

Sendcloud’s Shopify import ignores service points chosen in any app other than Sendcloud’s own checkout: the order arrives in Sendcloud without a point, whatever its attributes or metafields say. With the secret key, Globe writes the point onto the order in Sendcloud through the Sendcloud API, so nobody has to pick it again.

In Sendcloud, open Settings → Integrations → Sendcloud API:

  1. Create the integration, or open the one you already have.
  2. Turn on Service Point delivery and tick the carriers you want to offer.
  3. Copy the Public Key and the Secret Key.

  1. In Globe, open Pickup points, click Add pickup points and select Sendcloud.
  2. Paste the key into Sendcloud public key, and into Sendcloud secret key (optional) if you want the point written onto the Sendcloud order.
  3. Click Verify connection. Globe checks the keys and lists the carriers it found.
  4. Map the shipping methods for Sendcloud service points.
  5. To show only some carriers, use Restrict types of pickup points available. If two shipping methods need different carriers (for example Mondial Relay on one rate and bpost on another), add Sendcloud twice.
  6. Leave the Sendcloud preset in Order attributes, or add the fields your warehouse reads. See Order attributes.

WhereValue
Attribute PickupPointIdSendcloud service point ID
Attributes PickupPointName, PickupPointAddress, PickupPointCity, PickupPointPostCodePoint name and address
Attribute PickupPointCourierThe carrier of the point, e.g. Mondial Relay (not “Sendcloud”)
Metafield sendcloud.service_pointThe point in the format of Sendcloud’s own checkout

With the secret key set, after each order with a Sendcloud point:

  1. Sendcloud imports the Shopify order. It checks your store every few minutes, so this takes 1 to 6 minutes.
  2. Globe finds the imported order and sets its service point through the API, in the same field you fill when you pick a point by hand. Sendcloud then drops the home delivery method from the order.
  3. Until the order appears in Sendcloud, Globe tries again every 30 seconds.

This only applies to points from the Sendcloud carrier, whose ID is Sendcloud’s own. Points from other carriers in Globe (for example Mondial Relay set up directly) are not written to Sendcloud.

  • Verify connection fails: check that both keys come from the same Sendcloud API integration and that Service Point delivery is on.
  • No carriers in the picker: tick at least one carrier under Service Point delivery in Sendcloud, then click Verify connection again.
  • The order in Sendcloud has no service point: check that the secret key is set on the Sendcloud carrier in Globe and that the customer picked a Sendcloud point. If you deleted the order in Sendcloud and imported it again, set the point by hand: Globe writes it once, on the first import.
